Family

I am the middle child in a family of 3 males, my brothers being Mark and Tony. My father Alan, passed away in 1998, but his influence lives with me every day. My mother Patricia, is in good health and we see each other 4-5 times a year, which considering we are 4-5 hours apart is reasonably often. I also have a half-brother Gary from my father's first marriage who is about 17 years older than me. In early 2004 my children and I visited him and his wife Dierdre at their Narooma home for a few days and it was a great opportunity for both myself and my children to get to know them both better. Seeing that the first contact I ever had with Gary was at Dad's funeral there is a lot of ground to cover. Unfortunately, Gary's sister and my half-sister Pauline died in 1999 from cancer. I never met her.

I separated from my long-term partner in 2001. I have two children - a daughter Lauren (born 1995) and a son Jordan (born 1998). They both attend Carraragarmungee Primary School, which is approximately 5 km from El Dorado on the road from Wangaratta (for an explanation on which part of the world this is CLICK HERE). This school caters to both the El Dorado community as well as the surrounding farming community and has a current enrolment of 65 students. I am currently designing a web-site for the School, however, it is not as yet available for browsing. As an interesting twist to my story, El Dorado had a Primary School, however, in 1993 it was one of a number of schools closed down by the Government of the day, due to low enrolments (I think it had around 9 students in it’s last year). 3 years later this former School property was put on the market, which provided the opportunity for my former partner and I to purchase it, which we did and hence we moved to El Dorado in 1997.
