Thailand.

After our six month stint in Bali we headed off to Thailand for the last leg of our journey. Since Thailand is in the northern hemisphere, when we arrived in December it was their winter. Again, warm and dry. Perfect.

We spent some time in Bangkok then Phuket. All up we stayed for 3 months. During that time we did the usual things you would expect to be doing such as seeing all the sights, meeting lots of people, eating out, partying on New Year's Eve. NYE in Thailand is an unforgettable experience.

Unfortunately with just a few days to go I lost my Blackberry phone which contained most of our Thailand pics. Apart from that and overall we had a fantastic time.

Here are some Thai items and their prices in Thai Baht and Aussie dollars.

What
Cost
1 litre fuel 30 baht ($1)
Plate chicken & cashew rice 75 baht ($2.50)
Egg & mushroom omelette & rice 50 baht ($1.65)
1 litre of bottled water 8 baht (27c)
125cc scooter hire per day 100 baht ($3.30)

Some pics.

This is the beach at Kamala, Thailand.

Negotiating and getting massively overcharged by tuk-tuk drivers, or taxis that refused to put their meter on, got a little long in the tooth. So we hired a little 125cc scooter during our stay there. Cost 100 baht per day, which is approx AUD$3.30
