I was born in 1990 in Adelaide, Australia, the youngest of four children, but moved to Sydney in 1995 with my family where I lived and studied until I finished my HSC in 2008. Since school was never very kind to me, instead of heading straight to university, I worked for a year in different retail outlets and companies. The break from schooling was well earned and well received.

In the beginning of 2010, I moved to Wagga Wagga to study at Charles Sturt University in the Animation and Visual Effects course offered there. I had never really felt at home in Sydney and Wagga seemed like the perfect balance between city and country life for me to fit in. I'm about to finish my first year here and loving (mostly) every minute of it.

Animation/VFX wasn't exactly my first choice growing up. I never thought from the moment I was able to think for myself that this is where I wanted to be. It happened in year 12, after many years of thinking I would be a Fashion designer/Graphic designer/Computer Scientist - it changed every few months. But when it came time to choose which course I would like to do at university, I put Animation and Visual Effects first. And I don't regret it... most of the time. Its fun, its harder than people give it credit for, and there are heaps of cool people that you meet while doing it. But most of all - you can get away with a lot if you just give the simple answer of "It's okay, I'm an animator."
