From an early age I had an interest in reading and books. To me they were a source of escape into a world of make believe and I enjoyed putting my self in the place of the main character and imaging what I would do in the situation. Some of the books I enjoyed reading as a child included the The Nancy Drew Mysteries, The wind in the willow, and others. I still read widely but have had my reading spread into two different areas: professional and personal.
Professional reading ranges from library specific topics like library management, collection development to information technology areas - mainly to do with how to better use Twitter, Facebook, blogs, wikis in a library context.
Personal (or recreational) reading can include biographies, ocassional crime novels but mainly Star Trek novels and fantasy fiction reads.

A lot of my time is taken up with my daughters' activities, whether it's taking them to swimming, music lessons, Serbian school or Serbian dancing.
I love watching them dancing as I also enjoy the dance style and I have done the dancing in the past.
