I live in Nyora, Victoria which is on the way to Philip Island and Wilson's Promontory National Park . Nyora has a population of 545, one general store and post office. The town's name means wild cherry tree.
My parents were Swiss, born and bred, and moved to Sydney to further my father's career in hairdressing. I was born in New South Wales but due to the humidity factor, we moved to Hobart when I was 1 year old and spent 30 odd years there. Within the next few decades, circumstances caused me then to move to Ulverstone (north-west coast Tasmania), Frankston (Vic), Albion Park (at the base of the Illawarra Escarpment, NSW), and now to Nyora.
