This is my R31 Nissan Skyline which I own with a friend. We bought this car over a year ago for track use with the intention of learning to drift (
What is drifting?). It has also since become the car of choice when taking road trips across the country.
With this project we set out to end up with a car we could drive to a race track drift all day and drive home again. This requirement to be able to drive to and from a drift or race event meant that we had to keep the car registered and road legal and as both Flano and I are currently on our P-plates NSW law means adding a turbo or any power modifications was not an options. An R31 skyline was chosen because it is renown for its' reliability and strength but also it comes from the factory with a 3 liter non-turbo engine with enough power and torque to make it easier to learn on than something with a smaller non-turbo engine such as a Nissan Silvia. Although nether of us use this car to drive around on a daily basis it became our road trip car of choice because of its' ample comfort and features. This became a major role for the can are contributed as such to how it was modified.
